Kumudra Hotel is set on the hill overlooking the town of Hsipaw from the west. Guests can enjoy sunrise from their balcony or from the breezy rooftop terrace.

All of the hotel’s rooms are spacious and (save for the two singles) come with expansive balconies with views over the town.

Chic and elegant, there is nothing lavish or ostentatious about this hotel – apart from the rooftop jucuzzi. Kumudra Hill offers Hsipaw’s first swimming pool, surrounded by the vegetable patches that supply the restaurant kitchen.

This is undoubtedly one of the finest hotels in Hsipaw, if not all of Shan State. A firm Sampan favourite.
