The journey begins with Sampan’s lively day tour of Yangon. Up in Bagan, guests will be left at leisure to experience the wonder of getting lost amongst the myriad temples of Myanmar’s most resplendent empire. They will later trek from the former British Hill station down to Inle Lake, before kicking-back at Gwa, staying at the no-frills but uber-chic Arakan Nature Lodge.
You will be greeted at Yangon Airport and taken to your hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the day at leisure.
Wander through the tumult of a downtown Yangon, visiting morning markets and the grand Secretariat. Arrive at Shwedagon Pagoda for dusk.
Today you will fly to Bagan in the centre of Myanmar.
Get lost exploring Bagan by yourselves.
Fly to Heho and be driven to Kalaw, a former British Hill Station. After checking into your hotel, commence exploring the town.
Kalaw – Waa Gyi Myaung
After a simple local breakfast, follow a footpath down to the banks of Inle, before taking a boat over the lake to reach the town of Nyaung Shwe.
Today you will be taken out onto the lake to visit the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and learn more about the Inthar people who call this region home.
This morning you will fly to the coast and then drive down to Arakan Nature Lodge in Gwa.
Be at leisure on the beach. You may wish to visit the adjacent village of take a boat out to Gwa Island.
After breakfast you will be taken back to the airport to catch your return flight to Yangon.
Today you will be left at leisure before your departure flight.
